Organizations can now attach their local printers to the cloud using Microsoft’s Universal Print. This technology allows users to send documents to both local and remote printers when connected to the internet. Azure AD authentication is required. The benefits are that there is no need to install printer drivers and users experience an intuitive printing interface.
Dynamics 365 Business Central with Universal Print allows accounting and finance departments to utilize output devices all over the world. Now that several staff members are likely working from a remote office of one and then coming back to the home branch occasionally, this technology becomes very useful because it prevents problems with printing when switching locations.
